BC Networks sets to honor Dr. Adegboyega in recognition of his continuous support for youth development with the prestigious Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) Champion Award.

Dr. Adegbogeya Lateef Omotosho will be recognized and honored at the commissioning of BC Networks Innovation Hub Complex and 13 years anniversary celebration of the company, coming June 6, 2026 with the "Digital Skills 4 Youth Champion Award"
This award recognizes and celebrates individuals whose outstanding contributions have driven the company's growth and played a vital role in advancing the development of young people at large.
Dr. Adegbogeya Lateef Omotosho is a Senior Lecturer in Guidance and Counselling at the Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. Over the years, he has served and continues to serve in various academic and administrative capacities within the University, including Level Adviser, Departmental Academic Secretary, Assistant Sandwich Coordinator, and Examination Officer, among others.
Renowned for his passion for teaching, research, and community service, Dr. Adegbogeya has supervised numerous undergraduate and graduate projects, contributing significantly to academic excellence and human capital development. He currently serves as a Centre Manager for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes and also functions as an External Assessor/Moderator at the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna.
His research interests span critical areas of marriage and family life counselling, as well as broader counselling-related issues. He has conducted extensive studies on emotional intelligence, achievement motivation, students’ attitudes toward examinations, adolescent sexual behaviour, counselling needs of undergraduates in Nigeria, family relationships, bullying behaviour, coping strategies among unemployed youths, and marital challenges in homes, among others.
Dr. Adegboyega has authored over 70 research publications, some of which are indexed in SCOPUS and published in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals. He is also a co-author of two scholarly books focusing on emotional intelligence and guidance and counselling in Nigerian education.
He is actively engaged in academic editorial work and currently serves on the editorial and review boards of several international journals, including the International Journal of Instruction (Turkey), Anatolian Journal of Education (Turkey), African Health Sciences (Uganda), International Academic Journal of Education & Literature (Kenya), Education Journal (USA), and Acta Scientific Nutritional Health Journal.
In addition, Dr. Adegboyega is the Founder and Chief Editor of Marital Bliss, a global marital counselling platform dedicated to promoting healthy relationships and family stability. The platform specializes in individual counselling, couples therapy, pre-marital counselling, as well as workshops and seminars designed to strengthen marriages and enhance emotional well-being. Through this initiative, he extends his expertise beyond academia, providing practical and life-changing counselling services to individuals and families worldwide.
Dr. Adegboyega is a member of several professional bodies, including the Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON), the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), and the American Psychological Association (APA).
Beyond academia, he is a devoted family man, happily married with children.
