The world is going Digital, yet millions of young people still face a significant gap between formal education, practical digital skills, and economic opportunities. Many students, graduates, job seekers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and young professionals lack the practical technology skills required to compete effectively in today's digital economy. BC Networks Innovation Hub addresses this challenge through its flagship Digital Skills 4 Youth (DS4Y) initiative an inclusive, practical, and opportunity-driven digital skills ecosystem designed to help young People Learn, Build, and Earn. Our approach goes beyond classroom training. Through the DS4Y, we equip participants with practical, market-relevant skills, provide opportunities to work on real projects, connect them with mentors and professional networks, and encourage entrepreneurship and employment. THREE CORE PROGRAMMES UNDER OUR DS4Y 1. Digital Skills 4 Youth — Ages 12–40 This flagship programme equips young people with practical digital and technology skills that can support employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship, innovation, and career advancement. 2. Tech for Kids — Ages 6–11 We introduce children to technology from an early age through engaging, age-appropriate learning in areas such as coding, digital creativity, problem-solving, technology awareness, and safe digital citizenship. 3. Girls Can Code — Girls Ages 8–25 This programme encourages girls and young women to participate in technology by providing practical opportunities to learn coding, develop digital skills, build technology projects, and explore careers and entrepreneurship in the digital economy.
